Overview
The first section gives the overview.
It tells the reader what to expect from the treatment method provided
in the book. It gives a description of how it is applied to beliefs
and memories, addictions, and chronic pain. The final paragraph describes
how the subconscious can be taught to do the healing inside and automatically
heal negative beliefs, memories and experiences.
Glossary
The glossary lists all the section headings
in the book and gives a brief overview of each. While doing this, the
various treatment activities are related as a means to gradually teach
the reader a new healing method that may seem unusual. The important
thing is that it works and it is suggested that the reader experiment
with mild problems before attacking the big ones.

How
to do it
How to do it
Five sections describe how to do the
healing method. The first section gives instructions about how to identify
and organize your emotional issues - bad feelings, phobias, trauma history,
etc. You are taught how to order them from least to most painful. A
form is included if you want to use it. The next two sections teaches
how to make affirmations. The purpose for the affirmation is to clear
some common barriers for healing. Then a sequence of twelve acupressure
points are presented and you practice tapping on them. Finally, a tapping
procedure called the 9-Gamut is taught. You practice this sequence too.
The tapping points of the sequence and the 9-Gamut are connected to
structures that, when tapped, cause the pain associated with the issue
to go away. The healing method involves thinking about the problem,
doing the affirmation, and tapping on the acupressure points in an orderly
way until the hurt associated with the problem goes away.

How
to build your confidence
How you build
your confidence
We all have some emotional issues. Some
range from being very small to being very, very large. The very very
large ones can hurt us if we feel them fully. You night have an addiction,
depression, or compulsion, and we know that they are hard to get rid
of. What is needed to get rid of them is confidence in the treatment
method and the willingness to use persistence and patience to overcome
the barriers. The method is taught by making a series of personal experiments
to help us become confident in the method. The reader is encouraged
to score the emotion of the issue before starting, and repeat the method
until the score of issue goes down. The score helps us see the change
or no change. We don't start with the big issues, we start with the
small issues and look for success. Repeated success in your personal
experiments will convince you that the method works and you will be
ready to change increasingly more intense emotional issues.

What
is a glitch?
What is a Glitch?
A glitch is some barrier that is getting
in the way of the healing process. Before you can start healing your
problem, you have to remove all the barriers that get in the way of
change. This is why talk therapy often works very slowly; there is a
glitch that is blocking change. In this book, most of the barriers are
identified and they are clearly described and organized in an order
to make it easy to get rid of a barrier. A troubleshooting strategy
is taught so that, if there is no change in the emotion after doing
the method, you try one approach after the other until you remove the
barrier. Most approaches for eliminating barriers are easy like: stopping
the use of shortcuts, drinking water, etc. For more difficult barriers,
troubleshooting, using persistence and patience, will usually work to
remove the barriers. Then the method will continue to reduce the painful
emotions.

Memories
Memories
There is a section on memories and beliefs
that describes how to use the method to heal painful memories, nightmares,
intrusive thoughts, chronic emotions, anger, and painful self-limiting
beliefs.
Addictions
Addictions are hard to heal, but this
book describes how to do it. The main factor is your motivation. If
you really want to end your addiction, you can do it with the method
by following the the procedure and recommendations that are given in
this book.
Pain
The section on pain really addresses
learned physical pain and chronic symptoms. Often the pain and symptoms
have have been learned at an earlier time in our life. Our recent trauma
or illness brings it back. The method can be used to heal that learned
or remembered pain that is causing or adding to our present pain or
symptom discomfort.

Innerself
healing
Innerself Healing
I have been working with modern treatment
methods for over 15 years and have had patients teach me many things.
The most important is that the subconscious or the innerself can learn
to do the healing work on the inside. The section on innerself healing
is written to teach the reader's subconscious how to heal on the inside,
how to get rid of barriers so he/she can heal automatically, and how
to use other qualities we have to help the healing process. Some people
will have glitches, er, barriers that will get in the way of the healing
process, so, I don't expect this exciting prospect to work with everybody.
On a one to one contact, I can remove the barriers, but the reader won't
have my experience. Even without success with innerself healing, the
treatment technique provided in the remainder of the book is useful
for everybody.

Prompts
for your problems
Prompts for your
problems
Appendix I gives you a list of 56 emotional
problems, 8 addiction problems (including withdrawal systems), and 23
pain and illness symptom problems for you to use to help identify your
own problems. In an earlier section you are taught to write your problem
in a sentence. Sometimes there are several aspects to a problem that
also have to be addressed before the problem can be stripped of emotions.
After the problem and one or more aspects are written down, a phrase
is made up that captures the emotion of the problem and aspects. The
phrase is used when doing the method. Here's an example of a problem
in Appendix II:
Fear of water:
Phrases:
Problem:
I am afraid
to go into water.
My
fear
Aspects:
I
am afraid that I will die.
Fear
of dying
I am afraid to
get water in my eyes.

Reminders
& resources
Reminders
In an Appendix II, wallet sized reminder cards
are useful to Xerox or cut out to help you remember the basic elements
of the treatment method.
In Appendix III, all the suggestions given to the innerself are repeated
so that the reader can more easily reteach the innerself if it doesn't
appear to be working. One of the advantages of teaching the innerself
to heal automatically is that all the negative beliefs and thoughts
gradually happen less often.
Resources
In Appendix V, several names with telephone and
fax numbers, and E-mail addresses are given for readers who want to
ask questions or get some help. Suggestions are given to help readers
find and assess a good therapist. Also, there are web page addresses
to explore other major, effective treatment methods.
